La Femme sauvage, un archétype libérateur

The wild Woman, an archetype liberator

The archetype of the wild Woman carries with him a liberating power. Incarnate in his life is a true way of universal healing.

What archetypes for female ?

Beyond advertising, sociology, literature, or art, feminine archetypes that are found most frequently are the triptych "maiden-mother-crone" (the maiden, mother and crone).

We can see at first a breakdown of the lives of women from the one function of reproduction. However, the archetype of the "mother" cannot be reduced to the birth and maternity. It symbolizes more broadly, the strength of the intellectual or artistic creation.

While the company invisibilise the older women, and considers the menopause on the registry of the degeneration, of the deficiency, the crone is in the sacred Feminine is represented in a highly positive. The idea is that by walking in age, the women know each other better, to acquire wisdom and freedom. Inspired by the vision that they have of the Ancient indigenous communities (including native american), women who participate in networks on the sacred feminine perceive that old age is conducive to taking a new role in the community : the transmission.

Thus, far from reducing women to their potential role as a mother, the archetypes of the sacred Feminine resources offer to symbolize stages in the life cycle or facets of existence. In addition to this trio, there are many other archetypes : Greek goddesses, celtic, germanic, the figure of the witch, the healer, the Amazon, the romantic, the warrior, the shaman, etc

The Woman is wild, a healing collective

The figure that we are interested in here is the archetype of The Wild Woman. It is rooted not in any of the temporality of the life of the woman. It lasts well beyond the ages and generations since the dawn of time... It is also an invitation to reflect on the systemic issues of sexist oppression on women and nature, and take action to change the world. Some see it as a mobilization and a change in the way of being in the world (labelled “ecofeminist”). I prefer to see it a momentum instinctive universal in the wild, much more entrenched and powerful than any label policy.

It seems to me crucial that this state of being of the Wild Woman could exist and persist freely without be altered / manipulated for political-social. It is in this respect that the Figure of the Woman is in my opinion the guardian of his legacy, his line of Women, and of the transmission that it was able to operate and has carried over into the future...

Appropriating the wild Woman

However the woman to a status of “wild” disturbs and disrupts the morals of the way full. The book The wild woman Michel Gardère is in support of this finding in the cradle literary, which contributes to the foundation of our culture. This book tells the incredible story (true) of a naked woman regained power in the middle bears a great summer of 1807. In the Pyrenees ariégeoises, two hunters spot and stalk this woman, naked, with a teddy bear. Captured, howling like a demented, it will now be called “the chatter of the Montcalm”. The first approach to this surprising meeting is to take him to the priest of the village. The unknown speaks in these words : "Robespierre killed my family" , and escapes into the night. She will spend two more years in the mountains before being taken up and thrown into prison in Foix to die shortly after.

Who was she? How was she able to survive ? Is she really dead in prison as he was told ? Why the fearsome Fouche, minister of Police of Napoleon, was interested-there so much of it ? And for whatever strange reasons, the prefect of the Ariège tried to save it ? An extraordinary human adventure as this novel comes to explore.

Today in 2022, our company would have raised this woman and hosted the wild differently than in 1807 ? If yes how ? With what tools ? More broadly, what is it today of the individual and collective consciousness of the savage in us ?
